The first time we met was in homeroom in 6th grade. While there is a dispute as to whether Jack used a zip-up binder, there is no disputing that this is where the story begins. It wasn't until Friday Night Football games and "friendly" tennis matches during our senior year of high school that we started to become closer friends. After countless Starbucks trips, hangouts, and even a family vacation we officially became a couple. We've been together for 7 years, 3 PSU winters, 2 cats, and 1 home and we're so excited to start the rest of our lives together.

Wanting to honor the many Starbucks trips that we have had; Jack set up a scavenger hunt to kick off the proposal at the 5 Points Road Starbucks location. With the help of Tori's sister, Lena, and the baristas, Tori's favorite Vanilla Latte order came with an envelope containing instructions to head to Jack's parent's mailbox. There she picked up passes to Longwood Gardens and a map of the park. Jack was hidden and ready to propose under the Italian Water Gardens. While rain typically is an unwelcome site during an outdoor proposal, it was a stroke of fortune for Jack and Tori. While the rest of the attendees cleared out, the couple was able to have almost the entire majestic gardens to themselves. By the time Tori arrived (after an outfit change) the rain had slowed and the drizzle provided the perfect backdrop for a beautiful day.
