For those who don't know, Kyle and I met in 2014 in the Starbucks drive-thru in Vallejo, California. I was the cute barista behind the counter, and he was the handsome customer who worked next door. Over a period of time, I made attempts to flirt with Kyle, but each time my efforts would go right over his head. However, one morning, Kyle had a friend with him who noticed. The next day at work, his friend stopped by and expressed interest in getting me and Kyle to go on a date - for Kyle, it was a blind date. Kyle and I hit it off and really began to enjoy each other's company. Unfortunately, our time together didn't last long, because, before we started dating, I had submitted a transfer request to change work locations which had been approved and was set in stone. After two months, we both went our separate ways. I went to North Carolina, and Kyle went back to Texas just a few months later. During the two years after returning to Texas, I couldn't stop thinking about Victoria. One day I was driving down the highway and got an uncontrollable urge to contact her. I pulled over on the shoulder, started a Facebook, and messaged her. She said she remembered me and told me that she had moved back to California and was single. At the end of the school semester, I flew out to visit Victoria, and we picked up right where we had left off. I told Victoria how I had felt about her when we first met and how I continued to feel about her. The feelings were mutual, and we decided to give dating another shot. We spent our first year dating long distance, and the remainder of our wonderful time together has been spent in Texas.

Kyle planned this day - kayaking on the beautiful Grapevine Lake followed by lunch on the Grapevine train. Spontaneously, instead of riding the train, we decided to walk around Grapevine and enjoy the historic old-town. We ate amazing food and window shopped at several amazing stores. We spent the remainder of the day at The Harbor in Rockwall enjoying the incredible views, and there, on the courtyard near the gorgeous waterfall and fountain overlooking the harbor, Kyle proposed.
