Walking within the neighborhoods is very easy, but if you're trying to get across town, you can call an Uber, use the DiDi app (another rideshare app), or you can hail a pink and white taxi; you can also order one by downloading the city's official "App CDMX", to pay with a debit or credit card, but most drivers will still prefer cash. Consider traffic in the city! It’s a huuuge city and traffic can almost always add time to your commutes. Mexico City also has a great metro system, you can download the app Moovit to get around. Other ways to get around leisurely while sightseeing are the Turibus, an open double decker bus that jumps between major tourist destinations in the city, and the ecobicis, bikes! You can rent them after signing up on the website and then downloading the Ecobici app.
Mexico City is one of the highest capitals in the world. It sits at 7, 349’ so stairs may feel a little harder than usual. Consider the elevation when traveling; it make take some getting used to or in cases of altitude sickness, you can talk to your doctor about getting medication.
January is often a dry and cool month for Mexico City. The temperature tends to stay in the low 70s and drop the 50s in the evening. Imagine a New York fall day! Please remember that the venue is outdoors.
