Nestled in San Francisco, this bakery is so exceptional that a 1 1/2-hour drive is absolutely worthwhile. Victor first introduced me to this gem over three years ago, and since then, we've made it a tradition to return, loading up on indulgent chocolate almond croissants, flaky ham & cheese croissants, and the most heavenly chocolate chip cookies whenever the opportunity arises! Here's a delightful tidbit: It was our very first stop on the morning Victor proposed!
Temple Coffee on K Street holds a special place in our hearts—it's where our journey began. On that initial outing, he opted for a Japanese style iced coffee while I went with an iced latte. A casual stroll around midtown followed, and, well, the rest is history!
Only a few minutes away from Sacramento’s sleek, modern Golden 1 Center, the Old Sacramento Waterfront stands as a time capsule of sorts. Its wooden sidewalks serpent around 19th-century buildings, providing a glance into the Gold Rush you can’t experience anywhere else in California—not at this concentration at least.
