Things To Do

Explore the charm of Sacramento and its surrounding areas with a curated collection of our favorite activities, both near and far.
El Abajeño Tacos

El Abajeño Tacos

109 Atkinson Street, Roseville, CA 95678

Undoubtedly the best fish & shrimp tacos you will ever have.

Arsicault Bakery

Arsicault Bakery

397 Arguello Boulevard, San Francisco, CA 94118

If you've ever spent more than 5 minutes with the Burgett family, you've undoubtedly heard tales of the renowned Arsicault Bakery. Nestled in San Francisco, this bakery is so exceptional that a 1 1/2-hour drive is absolutely worthwhile. Victor first introduced me to this gem over three years ago, and since then, we've made it a tradition to return, loading up on indulgent chocolate almond croissants, flaky ham & cheese croissants, and the most heavenly chocolate chip cookies whenever the opportunity arises! Here's a delightful tidbit: It was our very first stop on the morning Victor proposed!

Temple Coffee Roasters

Temple Coffee Roasters

2200 K Street, Sacramento, CA 95816

Temple Coffee on K Street holds a special place in our hearts—it's where our journey began. On that initial outing, he opted for a Japanese style iced coffee while I went with an iced latte. A casual stroll around midtown followed, and, well, the rest is history!

Old Sacramento Waterfront

Old Sacramento Waterfront

Sacramento, CA

Only a few minutes away from Sacramento’s sleek, modern Golden 1 Center, the Old Sacramento Waterfront stands as a time capsule of sorts. Its wooden sidewalks serpent around 19th-century buildings, providing a glance into the Gold Rush you can’t experience anywhere else in California—not at this concentration at least. The Old Sacramento River’s eastern banks are where you’re heading for this adventure.

California State Railroad Museum

125 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814
Crocker Art Museum

Crocker Art Museum

216 O Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

We really love museums, especially the Getty in LA—it's a personal favorite. But you know what? Sacramento has its own hidden treasure that we've fallen for in ways that are hard to put into words.

Faria Bakery

Faria Bakery

3417 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95817

Indulge in delightful breads and pastries in Historic Oak Park, just a stone's throw away from Maya's salon (Evergreen Beauty and Wellness Collaborative)!

Asha Urban Baths

Asha Urban Baths

2417 27th Street, Sacramento, CA 95818

If you're into relaxation, this should be one of your pitstops.
