Our love story starts like all great love stories these days: with both of us swiping right. After we matched on a fiery app, we proceeded to talk for two months while Veronica was finishing up her senior year of college. Once she had graduated we decided to go on our first date. If you know anything about the two of us you know our first date consisted of seeing a marvel movie (Captain America: Civil War) for the second time and a literal boatload of sushi. With the resounding success of our first date, Veronica asked Chris out on a second, for the next day. This second date included ice cream, and Veronica informing Chris she did not want him to kiss other people. About a month later we made things official and started referring to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend. Our proposal story starts long before our trip to Puerto Rico. Chris had purchased the ring with an optimistic outlook for 2020. As we all know, 2020 did not go as any of us had planned. So with many hurdles popping up, Chris decided to wait until an opportunity came to him. This opportunity came in the form of Veronica’s sister, Rachelle, scheduling an impromptu trip to Puerto Rico in 2021. We decided to tag along to help her plan the trip and keep her safe. Once we were in PR the first thing Chris insisted on doing was going to El Yunque, the rainforest. As Veronica was reading the informative posters around the rainforest, Chris got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, and the rest is history
