How We Met

May 3 2014

We met through a mutual friend, Beto Serna. We actually went to the same high school together but did not get to meet each other until college. We talked for weeks, exploring our interests and finding out we have similar taste in music, food (sushi, of course) and our love for naps. We finally went on our first date to Posh. Our night turned out to be amazing and we've been having sushi dates ever since.

The Proposal

April 20 2019

It was Easter Weekend 2019 and my family decided to come visit in Galveston. He said he would join as well with his family, that way we can all spend a holiday together. It was Saturday afternoon and we arrived at the beach. We were enjoying the nice cool weather, as the kids made sand castles and all the adults sat around eating and listening to music. He then pulls me aside and tells me he has an easter basket that he made for me but left it in the car. We go to the parking lot and continue walking. I was wondering "Wow they parked so far!" We arrived at the helicopter pad when he states, well you've always wanted to go on a helicopter ride, so I thought it was the perfect time to go for a spin! I was beyond ecstatic and grateful (he hates heights). As we ride the helicopter enjoying the view, I noticed how nervous he was as he clenched on to the pilot seat! Oh boy, he really does hate heights (I thought). As the helicopter came around, he asked me to look down below. Little did I know, our family was waiting by the landing pad with a huge banner saying "Will you marry me?" "Of course" I said, with tears rolling down my face. (With all the excitement, he almost bent down on two knees, and I gave him my right hand to put the ring on instead of my left one).
