We met while attending a leadership training class at work. We were in the same group. I had no idea who he was. All I knew was, he annoyed me, and I was not a fan. After four days of meetings, we all went to Friday's for drinks. We laughed the entire time; he was growing on me. It gets better; we worked in the same building only one floor away. He became my go-to person. We spent so much time together that I couldn't see my days without him. Right before my eyes, my friend became more.

I came home from work, and Tiyona met me at the door and took my coat. I had no idea what was happening. While I walked up to our first set of stairs, I could hear music playing. When I reached the top of the stairs, there were candles all over the floor that spelled out, "Will you marry me." I looked over, and he was coming down the stairs looking so handsome. He told me, "he couldn't go into 2020 without taking our relationship to the next level." He got down one knee and asked me to marry him. I screamed, shouted, "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Mexico!
