We first met when we were 5 in Sunday School. Over the next 15 years, we had all the usual ups and downs of a genuine friendship. We made memories, cracked jokes, and grew up together. Through all of that, we were never anything more than friends, and thank goodness for it. We will both tell you that we would never have lasted if we dated in high school. God needed to do a lot of work in both of us to prepare us for a life honoring him together. By the time we graduated high school, we had been through a lot separately and together. When our friends went their different ways (College, the military, trade school, and more), we were left spending a lot of time together. Naturally, we began to develop feelings for each other, but neither was ready to make the first move. In October, we drove down to Mississippi to visit Lauralei (our lifelong best friend and a bridesmaid!). It was this trip that finally tipped things into motion and we started dating just two weeks later, on November 5th, 2021. Over the next year and a half, we built a solid foundation. We had endless talks with friends, family, and each other. We prayed together and sought Biblical discipleship within the church together. Finally, on May 27th, 2023, John proposed and now we get to officially look forwards to a life together! To all of the friends and family who are happy to say "called it!", we want to say thank you for the love, support, and advice that you all have poured into us over our lifetimes. Without each of you, we wouldn't be ready to commit ourselves to each other before the Lord.

John and I love to cook! We try out new recipes all of the time and love the challenge of learning new techniques and trying new things.
