Let's celebrate!

Kids. I’m going to tell you an incredible story. The story of how we met each other. It was way back in September 2012. We were 21 and Nessa was rocking the role of Co-Director for a collegiate dance crew, "Kapwa Modern,” while Tou Ger had just freshly landed in Chicago from Appleton, WI. A buddy of Tou Ger's hit him with the brilliant idea to attend Kapwa’s open auditions. Nessa spotted him right away. Flexing her authority as one of the directors, she convinced everyone to hop back on to the sign-up sheet, pretending that it was so they could “throw you a party once your birthday rolls around!" Clever move, Nessa; she just wanted the scoop on Tou Ger's age to make sure he wasn’t 16. Turns out, he was a cool 21, just like her. But uh-oh, he had a girlfriend already! Fast forward to October 2012, and guess what? Tou Ger's a free agent! Nessa, being the patient gal she is, waited for a whopping two weeks. Then, boom! She took charge and made her move. Nessa and Tou Ger bonded over the legendary show "How I Met Your Mother" (HIMYM). They both agreed – they were totally "aweeeeesome!" – and officially decided to start rocking the dating scene. 11 years later, and Tou Ger drops a bomb – a proposal bomb. Picture this: a blue French horn, the ultimate HIMYM symbol of love. Nessa, being the sensible gal she is, said yes, obviously. Well…that was after she finally stopped screaming (as can be seen in the video above). And now, all we can do is thank God. Thank every God there is, or ever was, or will be, and the whole universe and anyone else we could possibly thank… that Nessa saw that man in that dance studio and that she had the guts to stand up walk over to the sign up sheets add the section for the birthdates and lie to everyone to fill it out.
