We're Getting Married!

We met at church after briefly talking at church camp in 2014. We had known of each other and circled around the same friend group, but it wasn't until after that last year of camp that we decided to start up a conversation with one another. Vance decided to "slide into my DMs" after camp was over. Sounds cliché, but here we are now! So fellas, if you're hesitant to send that cute girl a direct message, do it! We hung out for about a week before we became officially boyfriend and girlfriend. Just one month later, we proclaimed our love for one another! We knew early on that we were meant for each other and that God sent us the right person at the right time.

We were on a family vacation in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico taking photos on El Cocal Beach. First, it was family and sibling pictures being taken while Vance patiently waited his turn to take pictures with his woman. When we finally got to our couple pictures, we were taking normal pictures that the two of us would usually take. Then, Vance says "Are you ready?", looks at the family to make sure they have their cameras out, and then proceeded to get on one knee and ask me to marry him. Of course the answer was YES! It was so romantic to have one of the best days of our life spent on that beautiful beach. The father of the bride streamed this special moment on Facebook Live so Vance's family could be apart of it since they were unable to join us. We go back and watch the video every once in a while to reminisce in that moment and to see all of the love given to us by the people that watched this moment with us. We're so excited to share this special day with all of our favorite people. See you on May 30, 2020!
