We met at our good friend's surprise birthday party on the last day of December finals, 2014. After boring a mutual friend with talk of studying for the MCAT, Holly was directed toward a tall, blonde, and handsome man (you guessed it, Van), who also attended this party as a last minute decision to socialize before leaving for winter break. Our friend endorsed that Van had just finished his med school interviews and would be much more equipped to empathize with the premed struggle. Anyways, we did not talk much about the MCAT that evening but instead spent the next several years supporting each other through ups, downs, new jobs, med schools, residency, acceptances, rejections, moving cities, long distance, and more. We are so happy to finally celebrate our marriage with the most supportive people in our lives. Thank you for loving us!
