We're Getting Married!

It's June of 2019, and my friend gets a text message from her friend asking if she had any single friends for his single friend Eric. At the time it didn't seem significant. But our lives haven't been the same since that night. We met in person that summer, and we became inseparable every since. It was November 1st of 2019 when our relationship became official. For the first few years of our relationship, we would take turns deciding who would make the hour hike to the other person's house. And we did that until it got old, and trust me, it got old quickly. New Jersey was the state that we decided on, and in January of 2023 we began our journey of looking for a house. Almost a year of open houses, offers, and many headaches we finally made settlement on our first home together on November 1st of 2023. It could have been a coincidence, or it could have been fate. But it was then and there that we decided that November 1st was our day.

The night before our housewarming party, and the both of us are rushing to make sure everything is perfect. From the kitchen where I'm baking a cake I hear Eric call me into the living room. I thought he was going to ask for help with decorations, but when I walked in and found him on one knee my initial reaction was to ask if he was joking. It wasn't a joke, and it was there in the privacy of our living room that Eric asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. Besides calls to our parents we kept our engagement a surprise from our family and friends. The highlight of our housewarming party was everyone's surprised faces when I showed them my left hand.

This is only just the beginning of our love story, and we thank you for being apart of our special day!
