08.15.2013 Val and Bryce met at their alma mater, Furman University, on Bryce's first day as a freshman when he was introduced to the rest of the golf team (Val was a sophomore, also on the golf team). Through the years as student athletes, studying through the night at the library, attending the 6am team workouts, countless golf rounds, & trips to downtown Greenville - they became best friends....and the rest is history!

01.28.2021 Before sunrise, Val and Bryce packed the car and started their 5-hour road trip to Rosemary Beach, Florida - a beautiful place near Panama City. After a long day of (remote) work from their Airbnb, they headed to the beach to watch the sunset and start their weekend vacation after a few weeks of quarantine. While walking along the ocean, Bryce turned around, got on one knee, and asked Val if she wanted to marry him. She said YES, while completely surprised! They hugged, celebrated and shared the news with family and friends!
