Subletting a room in an apartment on Second Street from her friend Liz, Ursula unexpectedly spent her first night at her new digs celebrating the birthday of one of her new roommates. The birthday was David Bowie-themed, glitter littered the ground, and she was unsure if she made the right decision. Later that evening, Ursula was introduced to Nate, a regular occupant of the shenanigans of Second Street. His friend Craig was dating one of Ursula's new roommates, Karli (who has become a dear friend of hers). Sparks didn't fly that night, but a friendship slowly grew that summer after Ursula discovered Nate's affinity for board games and dark humor. It was a slow burn into a relationship but Ursula is really glad that she stuck out that sublet apartment situation.
After Ursula carefully designed her engagement ring, Nate held onto it waiting for a perfect moment to ask the big question. A few opportunities came but a certain cat or something always got in the way. On July 19th, in garden that they built together, Ursula was watering the garden and Nate was pulling weeds as they had done many summer nights. As the sun was going down Nate realized this moment represented the wonderful life they were growing together. He pulled the ring from his pocket and asked her if she wanted to get married. Ursula of course, said yes.
