Joel first caught Kayela’s eye in January of 2020–they struck up a conversation at a church gathering and Kayela was blown away by his incredible smile and super cool socks. She coyly signed up for the same small group as him and soon they were spending all of quarantine getting to know one another. After 6 months, Joel finally enlisted the help of his best boy Boba and asked Kayela to be his girlfriend—it was the best thing that had ever happened to her until July 21, 2022 when Joel got down on one knee (Love Story by Taylor Swift playing in the background) and asked Kayela to spend the rest of her life with him. It’s the easiest yes she’s ever given ❤️
