Meet the Irbys

We met at church! I was serving in multiple ministries at our headquarters church RIG Global. There were so many things that captivated me about Timi. She was sweet, kind, caring of others. She would truly stop what she was doing to pray or encourage someone. I knew when I first met her, she was peculiar and divinely unique. Oh and her voice always consumed the room pulling Heaven right into the center of it. I always told her when she sings in worship, I hear the Winds of Heaven blowing. Such a gift to the Body of Christ. Okay back to the story. We were serving and would speak for a minute or so from time to time. Always enjoyed talking with Timi. So one evening when about 7 of us peers were hanging around after a service, I just sat back and watched how she spoke and handled God's people. So admirable. I knew then that I absolutely wanted to pursue her. For a few months, I waited. God had me on an assignment to host an intercession and prophetic worship evening service, so I was focused. About a couple of weeks before the service I was hosting, I was led to ask Timi out to go celebrate all that God had been doing in our lives. If anyone knows Timi, you know that she likes straight-on answers, and I learned that about her that day. So she kindly asked me "So what will this be?" and "What should she be expecting?" I gave Timi a straightforward answer by stating that I was interested in her and would want to get to know her more. Our first date was indoor skydiving in Katy, Texas. She loved it, we laughed and joked around very easily. It was great to be ourselves and see one another outside of ministry. We proceeded to go on a few more dates and supported one another at ministry engagements in between. Then one day in June, I asked her if we could move into courting. She said Yes to courting. She said Yes to the ring and now we are here preparing to declare our Yes, our I DO to forever in marriage and covenant. Christ has favored our love from the start and we know He is going to see us through eternity.
