The foot ferry is a fun summer activity while in Port Orchard! Port Orchard and Silverdale are great places to window shop and enjoy the views.
This is a bit of a drive, but if you are wanting to go hiking while you're in town for the wedding, Lake Cushman/Hoodsport is a great spot that Tyler and I love. There are a lot of hiking spots with varying difficulty. Also, stop by the Hoodsport Coffee Co. for a cup of coffee or their famous ice cream! Hoodsport also has a wine tasting room and a distillery steps away.
The Seattle Great Wheel costs about $15 and is well worth the ride for out of town guests. Nearby, the Wings Over Washington ride costs about $17, which is a little spendy for 5 minutes of IMAX experience, but is fun if you want to experience more of Washington State than you will get to see during your stay!
Tyler and I currently live in Olympia and we love to walk the boardwalk admiring the views and the art, as well as walking around Capitol Lake. It has fun activities around the Fourth of July, such as live music, a carnival, and fireworks over the lake. Visit Well 80 on 4th or the Tipsy Piano Bar on Capitol Way! We would also recommend the Teeny Tiny Taproom on Plum Street from the Whitewood Cider Co.
