After 10 years of dating (2/22/2011 – 2/22/2021), we mutually decided to get married one year later on our 11-year anniversary (2/22/2022 on a Tuesday).
Neither of us have ever wanted a traditional wedding. If you know us, you know that we have been figuring out life together for over a decade and tackling some major milestones – just a bit out of order. So instead of sticking with tradition, we are going to stick to our nature and mix things up a bit. Instead of: Rings we got two watches to represent the time we’ve shared, remind us of the time we have left and keep us present. Instead of: Toasting us, we want to toast to you! The most important part of the watch symbolism is that they are not just about us. They represent our fundamental belief that the two things that matter the most in life, relationships (time x experiences) and experiences (time x relationships), are fused through time. Instead of: Planning, we were kind of expecting the world to implode before we actually had to plan something – alas, there’s a bit more time.
We are working on the details, but for now, whoever is local (or passing through), feel free to join us for a casual evening of music, food and drinks to celebrate the day we make it legal! We’ll be hosting at 2120 Union Street on 2/22/22 beginning at 5:30pm. RSVP on the schedule page if you can make it. We intend to have a larger full weekend celebration with friends later this year (more details to come) and we’ll be getting creative about how we celebrate with family as well (more details to come). Any other day of the week – our door is always open for anyone who just wants to spend a little more time together. Looking forward to it!
