It will be Cal Poly welcome week, meaning it will be busier than normal in the San Luis Obispo area during the weekend of the wedding. We recommend booking your lodging accommodations as soon as possible. We have acquired a 10% discount code on rooms at the La Quinta if you choose to stay there. Please see the travel section of our website for the code.
Normally the month of October in San Luis Obispo is very pleasant, meaning mid 60's to high 70's. Of course, we do not control the weather and it is subject to change daily whether that be a heat wave or a cold front. We recommend keeping an eye on the weather forecast. With that being said, we highly recommend bringing a jacket on the day of the wedding as temperatures can drop rapidly when the sun goes down.
Cocktail attire is encouraged for our wedding. Being that the wedding will be taking place at a barn, feel free to wear cowboy hats and boots. Mostly we want you to be comfortable and ready to dance. Ladies, for shoe wear, if you prefer to wear heels, wedges or blocked are recommended. The ceremony is on compact dirt and the reception in the barn is on cement.
At this time, as much as we love kids and the energy they bring, we are asking that you reserve this weekend for adults only. The only kids we are inviting are family. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We would ask that if you are planning on drinking that you designate a sober driver or use an alternative transportation option such as Uber or Lyft. Please do not drink and drive, if you do need to leave your car overnight we can make an exception but this should not be interpreted as an invitation to leave your car, and we will all make fun of you the next morning.
Both the ceremony and reception are taking place at the Perozzi Ranch and Barn. The ceremony will be outside of the barn, and the cocktail/reception will be both inside and outside the barn.
Yes! We will be hosting a welcome event at The Penny in downtown San Luis Obispo on Friday night from 8PM-10PM. This is purely optional, it is a chance to grab drinks, small snacks, desert, and toast Tyler and Elyse.
The ceremony will start promptly at 4PM. Please feel free to arrive no earlier than 3:30PM in order to park, grab some water and find a seat.
We will have a professional photographer on site taking pictures of the ceremony so we ask that you refrain from taking pictures and please keep your cellphones on silent.
