Get ready for a long and amorous love story! The right place at the right time is the best way to describe how Tyler and Adrienne started their adventure together. Adrienne had recently left Manhattan to start something new in Arizona and Tyler was keeping it steady on his 9th year living in San Francisco. How did they meet living in different states? Luckily, they “matched” on the dating app Bumble while Tyler was visiting family in Arizona and they instantly kicked things off. Texts turned into long phone calls from afar. A couple of weeks later, Adrienne was heading to Manhattan for a work trip and Tyler just so happened to be going at the same time to visit friends prior to his impromptu solo vacation in the Caribbean. Right place, at the right time, right!? They decided that this was the perfect time for their first date. It was the first week in December and New York was covered in fresh snow and colorful Christmas lights. Having grown up going into the city and living there, Adrienne was adamant about planning the evening with all of her favorite winter spots. They met at the Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel. Tyler was staggered by Adrienne’s striking beauty and classy fur coat. The first meet was not your typical awkward introduction. They both felt a sense of comfort and excitement for what was to come. They were not wrong. The conversation easily flowed as they strolled over to their first cocktail spot, Rolf’s. Known for its elaborate holiday decorations, they clinked Rolf’s signature mulled wine and spiked eggnog and then hopped in a cab to the West Village.

A speakeasy known as Employees Only was their next stop of the night. It was another crowded spot on a Thursday night in Manhattan, Dec 6, 2018, to be exact. While enjoying some tasty Negronis, Tyler wowed Adrienne with his tough guy side for the first time by telling a loudmouth bro with unruly elbows to buzz off. Luckily, the laughing and non-stop chatting quickly re-commenced and the two walked around the block to dinner at L’Artusi for their 1030pm reservation. After sharing too many incredible Italian dishes, more laughs and stories, Tyler politely planted his first smooch as they stood up to leave. They didn’t want the night to end! Purely infatuated, they moved quickly to holding hands, developing kissing patterns and continuously smiling at one another. The nightcap landed at The Beatrice Inn, where Tyler casually asked Adrienne over hot toddies to join him on his Caribbean vacation. He mentioned how he was heading to Antigua alone to take time off, but the thought of her company at the beach was way more appealing. Adrienne laughed it off and insisted that if he was serious to ask her the next day. Then it was a last call train ride from a sparse Penn Station. The two love birds played kissy face like in a movie in the middle of the platform before sending Adrienne back to her parents house in Long Island and Tyler back to his buddies in Brooklyn.

A romantic, super fun and adventurous date in Manhattan- what more could you ask for!? How about a second date in the Caribbean? Next thing she knew, Adrienne was on a plane heading to Antigua to meet Tyler. After an easy going, fun and incredible 4 days getting to know each other, they headed back to their respective states. No more than ten days later, Tyler was back in Arizona to visit Adrienne and family for Christmas. But wait, it gets better! Adrienne was leaving for Mexico on a family vacation just after the holiday. She did not invite Tyler, thinking it might have been too much, too soon. After a day, she quickly regretted that decision and told Tyler that she wished she invited him to join. Tyler was golfing with his brother in Arizona, contemplating heading to Mexico, but he realized that he didn’t have his passport. If you know Tyler, you know that once he makes up his mind, he’s going for it. After a warm round of 18 holes, Tyler headed to the airport back home to San Francisco, picked up his passport and swim trunks and hopped on the first plane out to Mexico to get to Adrienne. At the end of another amazing trip, Tyler persisted from a rooftop pool that Adrienne should surely be his girlfriend- and the rest was history!

A romantic first date in Manhattan, a couple of unexpected tropical vacations later, the two have not slowed down their relationship, their adventures and certainly not their endless love for one another. One very hot and humid summer day, Tyler completely surprised Adrienne by proposing to her on the bluffs of Sea Cliff, NY, a cherished spot where Adrienne was raised. They danced the night away, celebrated with friends all weekend and soon returned to San Francisco only to pack up their house for the next adventure. Though Tyler and Adrienne have ceased to slow down, they are now settling in their first home in the mountains of Park City, Utah. From their first date in 2018, the compassion, affection and sincere joy has only gained momentum for the soon-to-be Petersen’s. Sticking with the theme, they did not want to wait for the world to open to get married and have decided to share their vows in a family ceremony, November 2020. As all of you know, the soon-to-be newlyweds truly enjoy a good party and plan to share their love with everyone when the world permits.
