Ty and I both attended college at Le Moyne. We met our first year of college, second week in, at an Improv Club. I was the first one there, sitting and waiting for this exciting opportunity to make new friends and do something I loved. After waiting for 10 minutes, in walks the next person to arrive, Ty. As two teenage freshmen sat in awkward silence, Ty finally said hello and introduced himself. We didn't know how significant that moment would be in our lives, but we sure are thankful for it. Many years passed as friends, supporting one another through many joyful and stressful times. In 2017, we started thinking that it was time to move our friendship to the next level. On March 8, 2018, Ty asked me to be his girlfriend. We made a long distance relationship work through the most stressful time of my life, finishing nursing school. We took turns driving over two hours to visit one another almost every other weekend around both of us working. Once I graduated Le Moyne, we couldn't wait to move in together. On June 8, 2019, we moved into our first apartment! Over the past year we adopted our angel kitty, Krueger, we both found jobs we could be happy at, and continued to love and support each other no matter what. Almost 5 years later from the day we met, at the exact spot we met, Ty got down on one knee and asked for forever. Now, we are excited to blend our families into one. We can't wait to celebrate our big day with all our family and friends! #PromisetoThomas
