David and Caitlin met at a get together a mutual friend was having when they were both in high school. There were video games involved that caused David to comment on Caitlins "awesome" abilities to which she responded with nothing but sass. Needless to say the first meeting wasn't a smooth one, but the next time they "met" each other it was nothing but fireworks.

At about the three year mark Caitlin started bugging David for a ring while simultaneously telling him she would die if she had to plan a wedding while she was still in school. Little did she know he was actually paying attention to what she was saying. David waited until the day that she graduated from Central Washington University to pop the question making an already amazing and crazy day just a little bit more amazing and crazy.
