Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Ben Ellsworth and Ann Petrushka
"Look out, Jackson town" -Johnny Cash (talking about Jackson, Tennessee)

Brekkie and Caffeine

Persephone Bakery: Queen of the underworld in Greek mythology and the queen of all bakeries in Jackson. One of our favorite spots! Deliciously quaint bakery. Fair warning: the line grows quick. Snake River Roasting Company: Our favorite fun local coffee spot! Beware that you might want their cute merch. Cowboy Coffee: Best place to fuel up before a full day or beat that Sunday hangover. Healthy Being Café & Juicery: Cozy place with organic, cold-pressed juices, health-minded take-out fare. D.O.G: Quirky choice with a bohemian vibe & a patio doling out lunch & breakfast options (get a breakfast burrito).

Restaurants

Hand Fire Pizza: Located in the historic Teton Theater. Wood fired oven pizza in a family-friendly atmosphere. Blue Lion: Upscale western fare. Personal favorite of resident bridesmaid Abby Poll. Picnic: If you’re looking for the perfect lunch for take-out, pick up lunch at Persephone Bakery’s sister restaurant! Mary Piglets: Tex-mex. Go for the queso and a stay for the margaritas. Local: Modern American steakhouse and bar. Bistro: Parisian brasserie style dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Watering Holes

Snake River Brewing Company: This is our favorite brewery after a long day on the mountain. We're planning on meeting at Snake River at 6pm on Thursday, but worth an extra stop! Million Dollar Cowboy: Hop on one of the saddle barstools for a Coors Banquet Beer or a shot of whiskey while you take in live country music. If you want to see it, go earlier in the night or during an off time. If you want to experience it, go when the band is playing and people are out later in the night (heads up, there might be a cover)! Buckle up buckaroos. Roadhouse Pub & Eatery: Great local brewery with an awesome roof deck overlooking downtown. Try a beer flight! Silver Dollar Bar & Grill: Another great place for a drink and live music. Alpenhof: Austrian cuisine and beers in Teton Village. Mangy Moose: Welcome party location. Jackson Hole's legendary après-ski bar in Teton Village.

Jenny Lake Scenic Boat Ride (and Hike)

One popular activity, plus a way to save time and energy to and from scenic landmarks and hiking trails is by taking a shuttle boat across Jenny Lake! Reservations are not required. Boat dock is located in the South Jenny Lake area. Accessible to the Cascade Canyon trailhead, Hidden Falls (1/2 mile each way), Inspiration Point (1 mile each way) and into Cascade Canyon that leads North to Solitude Lake or South to the South Fork of Cascade Canyon. There are varying levels of difficulty to choose from! Check out AllTrails for length adjustments, difficulty, and reviews! It's recommended to bring bear spray if you are hiking with fewer than 4 people. Teton Backcountry rents spray at the Jackson Hole airport for $8 a day.

Everything Else

Sporting (all weather dependent for September): Kayaking & Canoeing Fly Fishing Golf at Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Horseback Riding Art, Culture, & More: Jackson Hole Winery: Great spot for a wine tastings right on the square. They have a creekside location right outside town at 98 Center St, Jackson, WY 83001 if you want your tasting with a view! National Museum of Wildlife Wildlife Tours Explore Art Galleries around Town Ariel Tram Ride at Teton Village (join us for this on Thursday!) Hot springs: Astoria Hot Springs: Located 16 miles south of Jackson. Soak with a two-hour session. Reservations ahead of time are recommended.
