Recommendations: - Maryland Heights trail: this trail will take you to an overlook of the town as well as the crossroads of the Potomac and Shenendoah River. As a heads up, this hike is primarily uphill and could be considered challenging, so be sure to plan accordingly. - Tubing; this can be done independently, or you could look into going with River Tubing Adventures, which has tubes to rent and will shuttle you to the drop off spot. - Harpers Ferry Brewery; has a great view! - Walking around the town of Harpers Ferry
Short, mildly challenging hike that's primarily uphill, but with switchbacks. Less than a mile to the top though!
Annapolis Rocks Trail is a moderate hike with lots of steps towards the beginning. Really great view! Continuing on the trail past Annapolis Rocks will also take you to Black Rock, which has an equally great view, but with less people. This trail is longer and may be considered challenging so please plan accordingly!
Recommended Trails: - Chimney Rocks: this is a moderate hike with some uphill sections. The trail is rocky, so be sure to wear the proper footwear to avoid injury. - Cunningham Falls: This is an easy hike; there is a short trail from the parking lot to view the falls.
