After graduating from Louisiana State University, Madison and two of her sorority sisters decided to participate in the Disney College Program in Orlando, Florida. By only God's design, one of Madison's sorority sisters became co-workers (and dear friends) with one of Tucker's friends he met while studying abroad in college. Tucker, after recently graduating from Texas A&M University, made frequent trips to Orlando to spend time with his friend and her co-workers. During a get-together at the Polynesian Resort with both Madison and Tucker's friends, Tucker saw Madison and was instantly drawn. With only a little small talk, Tucker and Madison immediately found interest in one another and eventually went on many dates in Orlando. Their first date was a day spent in Animal Kingdom followed by an Orlando Magic basketball game. After their brief time in Orlando, the pair continued to nurture their relationship across state lines; Tucker made frequent trips to visit Madison during her time in law school, while Madison traveled to Houston to visit Tucker during his time as a custom home-builder.

On June 5, 2022, Tucker took Madison to Sunday mass before (what she believed was) a brunch date with their friends in New Iberia, Louisiana at Rip Van Winkle Gardens! After arriving, Tucker and Madison explored the grounds until he found the right moment to propose. Afterward, Tucker took Madison back to her home in Broussard where he surprised her with all of their family and friends. The afternoon ended with a rainbow in the sky to cap off the perfect day!
