In 2019, we met at one of the last places people expect to find love in DC, the Capital Area Food Bank. At 10 in the morning, we packed boxes of food for the sick and shut in and talked about so much that by the end of the shift, it felt like we knew each other for years. After a first date at Clyde’s and a national lock down due to 2020’s pandemic madness, we became inseparable. We built a relationship on our core principles of family, consistency, honesty, and communication—Even if that means spending the rest of our lives arguing over which state has better pizza; Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Five years later, we are still making the most of life doing the things we love most; trying new foods, traveling, and enjoying a quiet Sunday in watching movies. What we are looking forward to in this moment is being able to share a place that we love the most with the people that we love the most.
