Is there a block of hotel rooms reserved for guests?

Answer

Yes, we have reserved a block of rooms at both the Aloft and Residence Inn. More details can be found under the "Travel" section of our wedding website.

What is the best way to travel to the wedding?

Answer

Guests traveling from afar can fly into Portland International Jetport (PWM), which is just 12 minutes from downtown, or Boston Logan Airport (BOS), which is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes from downtown. Please keep in mind that the wedding venue in Buxton, Maine is about 25 minutes from downtown Portland. While there is a parking lot at the venue if you’d like to drive, we recommend using the shuttle, which will pick you up/drop you off from the Aloft and Residence Inn hotels.

What are the transportation arrangements?

Answer

Complimentary shuttle service will be provided from the Aloft and Residence Inn to the wedding venue on the day of the ceremony. We want to ensure everyone arrives safely and on time, so we encourage all guests to utilize this service. We will share more specific pick up and drop off times as we get closer!

What is the dress code for the ceremony & reception?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire (semi-formal). For gentleman, this typically means a suit and tie, or a dress shirt with dress pants and a jacket. For ladies, cocktail dresses, or a dressy skirt and top are appropriate. Choose something that’s comfortable (summer in Maine will be hot!) yet festive to celebrate with us!

Are kids welcome to the ceremony & reception?

We kindly request that all guests arrange for childcare, as the wedding will be for adults only. We hope this advance notice helps everyone in making their plans!

What if I am driving to the reception? Is there parking on site?

Answer

Yes! There is ample parking available at the Farm if you are driving to the event.
