Tricia and Andrian were neighbors for three years prior to dating. They actually shared a wall. Tricia lived alone and mostly kept to herself. She would get off of work and see Andrian in his garage. He would throw up the peace sign to say hi. Tricia thought she was slightly nodding her head in response, and later learned that apparently she was not. She was tired, had lots of germs on her scrubs, and didn’t want to meet a new guy. It wasn’t until after Tricia’s 30th birthday that she finally decided to talk to Andrian. One day after work she saw him again in his garage, and instead of immediately shutting the garage, she walked over to him. She introduced herself. They chatted for a bit. Andrian asked if she wanted to go to a ceviche restaurant. She said, “oh no thank you, I have to do laundry and clean my bathroom.” Later on, Andrian had gotten back from Mexico City and asked her if she wanted to come inside to look at pictures. Wary of strangers, Tricia said, “oh no thanks, I have to do laundry and clean my bathroom.” That Friday evening she was going to the Norco Rodeo with her girlfriends, and she invited him. Andrian showed up at the rodeo, beer in hand. After the rodeo they were going to Zendeja’s Mexican Restaurant, to meet up with her other girlfriends. Andrian joined them. After a long day at work Tricia and her coworkers would often go to Zendeja’s to unwind and have some Cadillac margaritas and beers. By the time Andrian got to Zendeja's, Tricia and her friends were already unwound and very happy to get to know him. Tricia did not bring guys around so they were very thorough and direct with their questions. Andrian was very open and unwavering and answered every question without hesitation. The next day, Tricia was going to Santa Monica to watch the Warriors game with her high school buddies and decided to invite Andrian. To her surprise, he said yes - and they have been inseparable ever since.
Andrian and Tricia went to their favorite beach in San Clemente, California. They walked on the beach and onto the San Clemente Pedestrian Beach Trail. They stopped at Linda Lane Park to sit on the Second Spot bench and watch the sunset. Before Tricia knew it, Andrian was on the grass, on one knee with a blue box in his hand. At first, Tricia thought he had fallen or was tying his shoe. She can’t remember what he actually said or what she said. She just remembers him looking deep into her eyes and she thinks he said “will you marry me.” Tricia was in such shock she remembers saying “what? Wait what?! Are you sure?!.. yes yes of course” She thought he was joking and almost forgot to say yes. She kissed him and he put the ring on her finger.
