Andrew: When I first met Tricia I remember thinking she was so attractive that there was no way she was single, so I never thought to ask her out. After years of knowing her, we finally started hanging out and began dating shortly after. I knew I was in love when we went to the movies and she was okay with me buying snacks to bring in from the store. But really, her drive in her own life to achieve her goals inspired me to do the same in mine. That was when I knew we were the perfect couple. Tricia: Andrew and I became good friends when I worked the front desk at a jiu-jitsu academy that Andrew attended. Pretty shortly after our first conversations, I knew I was head over heels for Andrew. Before we began dating, we hung out one night, listened to our favorite music, and watched educational videos about the ocean. Not wanting the night or conversation to end, we both continued to find random oceanic videos to share. It was this night that I knew we would be together for a long time.
Andrew took Tricia to all of their favorite spots in Colorado. He enlisted to help of her sister to make sure there were flowers at every location. Before they arrived at each spot, Tessa, the maid of honor, took pictures of their dog with a bandana that read "Tricia, will you marry Vu?" At the end of the day, he took her to a beautiful, snowy spot in Boulder. They set out on a trail together. Tricia was wearing shoes Andrew bought for her the day before, and she had terrible blisters because the shoes were not worn. Andrew gave Tricia her socks and held her hand to make it up the trail. She had a gut feeling he was going to propose. When they arrived at a stopping point, Andrew dropped down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Such an easy yes!
