How We Met

May of 2014

Once upon a time in Heber, a young woman found herself bored and longing for someone to hang out with. Through a mutual friend who worked with her husband, that probably had a knack for comedy when he thought to set them up. Before they met in person, the young woman discovered that her future husband had tried to bail on their plans. Determined not to let this opportunity slip away, she took matters into her own hands. She picked up the phone and called him to convince him other wise. With a persuasive “gentle” voice she convinced him to come over assuring him that spending time together would be worth his while. During that phone call, the young woman was instantly drawn to her future husband's sarcastic, witty, and funny personality. There was a spark of attraction that grew with every playful remark and insult. Little did they know, that single phone call would become a turning point in their lives. When they finally met face to face, their connection was undeniable. What was initially just a casual hangout had transformed into the foundation of a deep and lasting love. As they reminisce about that special day, they are reminded of the serendipity that brought them together—a phone call that revealed their shared sense of humor and sparked a deep attraction. It was a moment they will always cherish, for it was the beginning of a love story that they’d never thought they would get. And ever since that day, we found it nearly impossible to spend any time apart. That night was the start to an unbreakable bond, and we thought we loved each other then…Through all the hard times, good times, and ugly times, we discovered that being together was the greatest source of joy and happiness. Every day, we continue to cherish each other and are grateful for the fate that brought us together!

The Proposal

2015 & 2023

So, there we were, pregnant with our first baby and ready to take on the world together. Nate had a plan to go on a hike in St. George, and that's where he was supposed to pop the question. But guess what? Life decided to throw us a curveball, which at this point is not a surprise anymore… ankles were swollen, back was aching and it started pouring rain the day he planned on proposing..Talk about timing! But you know what they say, love always finds a way, even in the most unexpected places. Instead of letting the rain dampen our spirits, he whisked her away to the nearby mall. Surrounded by bustling shoppers and bright lights, and screaming children, he got down on one knee and proposed on the spot. In that moment, it didn't matter that we weren't on a mountaintop. She still said yes! Life happened, and planning a big wedding just wasn't in the cards for us at the time. Finances were tight, and we had our hands full with our newborn baby. Time flew by, and soon, it felt like that proposal had become a distant memory. To make her feelings known, she stopped wearing her ring, hoping he'd catch on and realize how much she still longed to have her family’s matching last name. Eight years passed filled with laughter, fights, and shared experiences that built a bond stronger then ever..they weathered the storms and cherished the good times, growing individually and as a couple their love and bond has only grown stronger. Then, out of the blue, he surprised her with the question again, this time with a renewed commitment and a promise to make it official. The second time around came with words so much more profound with years of shared memories and unspoken promises of unconditional love, so much more special and meaningful. It was worth the wait. Our journey towards forever carry’s a wealth of experiences and a love that has been tested and proved triumphant. We decided to elope to the romantic courthouse just to be sure we wouldn’t let time, adhd, or another unplanned pregnancy get in the way of being married again!! Our love that has stood the test of time. We know that saying "yes" again is so much more than just a formality. It's a testament to the love we've built over the years, weathering life's ups and downs, and the beautiful family we've created together. Now let’s celebrate!!
