Question

When is the wedding and reception?

Answer

The wedding/reception will take place on Friday September 15th. The ceremony will be from 5:00 - 5:30 followed by a short cocktail hour, which will then lead right into the reception. All activities will take place at Thompson Barn. The ceremony will be the only part that will take place outside.

What is the attire?

Answer

We do not have a major preference and want you to wear what makes you the most comfortable. We do ask for no jeans please! (We believe most attendees will be in semi-formal to formal, but we are not against bolo ties and cowboy boots). The short ceremony will be outside and if you know the Midwest weather, that means it could be ideal temperature, snowing or 110 degrees. Please make sure you’re dressed for whatever weather Kansas cooks up that day.

Food and Drink?

Answer

Dinner will be a buffet style with main courses of Chicken Parmesan (including pasta with a tomato based sauce) and Beef Pot Roast (including potatoes, carrots, and celery). The sides will include Caesar salad, rolls, and carrots. We understand some guests have allergies and took several into account when selecting these menu items. During your RSVP please identify any allergies so we ensure none got missed. The open bar will include beer, wine, seltzers and two specialty cocktail drinks (one vodka and one whiskey).

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes, we have booked a hotel block (Delaney Triano Wedding) at the Residence Inn Kansas City Olathe. The hotel is located only a few miles away from the wedding/reception venue. All rooms need to be booked by August 24th, 2023. See the Travel tab for the link and more information on the hotel.
