Are Kids Invited?

We love your kids—we really do. We want our wedding to be your night off! We’ve booked a couple babysitters to make that a reality to your discretion. Kids are more than welcome to the rehearsal "Welcome party" and the Wedding if you choose. Please reach out if you have any concerns!

If I'm not staying at the resort, how will I get there?

Answer

Renting a car in Ireland can get pretty tricky, being that you drive on the opposite side of the car and on the opposite side of the road. No worries! There are many Uber and taxi options and public forms of transportation; However, in Ireland "Uber" exists but only allow licensed taxi drivers, so in reality you will be hiring a taxi through the convenient app if you choose. The resort has many price effective room accommodations if you do not want to worry about transport for wedding week! Public Transportation does run from Dublin to Athy (About 10 minutes from the castle) as well as taxis outside of the airport are good options. How do I book a room without getting charged collect call?

Kilkea has a fully virtual room booking system on their website or a US direct phone number for collect free calls. Just enter our room block code! Please keep in mind "Castle Rooms" are fully booked for wedding party/ Bride & Groom. Carriage & Lodge rooms are still available :) Please see "lodging" tab for more info

Can I bring a Guest?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. Remember, we are all close family and friends here! No one will be lonely!

Whats the Dress Code?

Answer

Smart casual for welcome party and Semi-formal/cocktail for the wedding, please. But we want you to feel comfortable. Have fun with it! We're in Ireland after all, Kilts encouraged!!
