Hands down, the cold brew in Lynchburg. You can go for the coffee or you can go for the vibes and you won't be disappointed.
If you get coffee at Golf Park, take it over to Hollins Mill Park for a nice walk through the forest. They paved over an old railroad track so the pathway is wide, flat, easy, and pretty. Once you get to the fork in the road about half a mile in, keep left to walk through a huge tunnel.
We went on a date here and we had a blast. It's an aquarium with fish and sharks but they also have a sloth, snakes you can hold, otters, porcupines, bird aviary, etc. Tickets range from $11 to $17.
We love this place so much that we had it catered for our engagement party and wedding rehearsal dinner.
If you're looking for a fancier dinner, Skyline is one of the nicest restaurants in town, located on the rooftop of The Virginian Hotel. (PS: We have a block of rooms reserved for our guests at The Virginian. If you choose to stay there, this restaurant will be very easy for you to get to.)
This farmer's market happens every Saturday from 7:00am to 2:00pm, right on Main Street in Downtown Lynchburg.
We highly recommend you go down the tubing run. An hour of unlimited tubing costs $13, or you can go down the run once for $2.
This is our favorite place to get a burger in Lynchburg. Just call ahead to make sure there's not an hour and a half wait.
This place is new but it quickly became a favorite. They have incredible ramen, hibachi, and boba.
Pizza! A little expensive but so good.
You'll need a car and a lot of time for this one! It's a drive-thru zoo. Pay for your admission and a bucket of food, then the animals come right up to your car. Trenton's whole extended family did this when everyone was in-town for Thanksgiving and it's something they'll never forget.
