Trent and I met working at Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Hollywood Tower of Terror. Our first meeting was in passing from one position to the next. The memory that started it all for me was actually on The Fourth of July when I asked him to ride Tower with me while holding onto little American flags because I wanted a "cute flag pic" for my Instagram. Little did he know that would be the beginning of many pictures and the start of his career as an "Instagram Husband!" After work he drove me to my car even though it was COMPLETELY out of the way and put us back in traffic that we could've totally avoided (if i had known where back stage parking was... but I was the new girl and didn't want to get lost). We then drove to Taco Bell for the first of MANY late night snacks together :)
Trent and I drove to North Florida to spend a week with his family celebrating Christmas a little early. The second day we were there we drove over to Panama City Beach to Pier Park to spend the day doing some last minute Christmas shopping. As we were shopping Trent mentioned he saw something that he wanted to get me as a Christmas gift. This didn't throw me off too much since we were going to be opening presents that night at his parents' house. Trent kept mentioning wanting to watch the sunset from the beach, but it was a very very gray day in the Sunshine State. I kept shaking my head that there wouldn't be a sunset and we could walk the beach anywhere else and I was getting hungry. He convinced me to leave the shopping center by telling me we could go get dinner... but then didn't make the right turn to go to Chipotle! He tricked me! We were on the way to the beach! He parked at the pier, and I looked at him and said, "Oh, you're actually serious about this beach walk?" He laughed and said, "I want you to open the present on the beach. It's cheesy but you'll like it and It'll give you lot of Instagram likes". After walking a bit he gives me the bag and inside I pull out a mug that says, "I'm engaged, Duh!" I look at him in disbelief. I thought he was joking with me! I wasn't engaged yet! Why was he giving me this mug?? It seemed like a mean joke to me! But then he pulled the tissue paper out of the mug and at the bottom was a little box and he got down on one knee and proposed!!!!!! Even with a ring staring me in the face I was convinced he was joking... After lots of screaming, jumping, and hugging, I finally was able to squeak out 'YES!'
