WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Formal attire, please. We want you to feel comfortable, so if there are any questions, please reach out to the bride & groom! Please keep in mind this event is on a docked boat, so there are plenty of steps and plank boards to be considerate of.

What’s the best way to get to the venue?

Answer

There will be a shuttle running from Swissotel to the venue on the day of the wedding. The schedule is as follows: Departure 1: 3:15 | Arrival at Venue: 3:25 Departure 2: 3:40 | Arrival at Venue: 3:50 Departure 3: 4:05 | Arrival at Venue 4:15 Shuttle service will begin again back to the hotel 10 pm - 12 am. Additionally, there is parking available, but we encourage you to utilize Uber or Lyft as parking can be limited.

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes - Columbia Yacht Club is located on the shore of downtown Chicago at the foot of Randolph Street. Please note parking is not a part of the Yacht Club, and will have to be individually purchased. Additional parking details can be found here: https://www.columbiayachtclub.org/parking

WHERE ARE THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION TAKING PLACE?

Both the Ceremony & Reception will be taking place at the Columbia Yacht Club in downtown Chicago. Address is 111 N Lake Shore Dr., Chicago, IL 60601.

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love children, this is an adults-only affair.

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. Outside of that, our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

Answer

The venue for Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception are outdoors, but tented/covered in most instances.

Does the boat have an elevator?

Answer

Yes! The boat has plenty of stairs, so an elevator is available for anyone who may be in need of that service.
