The Adventures of Travallie

10.21.21

Travis & Allie met on the evening of October 21, 2021. Allie actually thought maybe he would be a good candidate for a fellow Christian friend. So she was vetting him. Little did Allie know, what was to come! Allie took Travis on a joyride into New Milford, Ct. immediately after they met outside 5 Whittlesey. The home she was staying at while working for Spring Hill Vineyards. That night became the first of many nights. Six years ago, Allie began her journey of Faith and becoming a True Christian. Travis had been deep into his Christianity, so this became a beautiful and helpful way of navigating what Allie hadn’t touched on but merely dabbled in. The first month of dating, they would listen to music, cook extravagant meals and say Grace before dinner. The dynamic and birth of something incredibly special for Allie. There were some hardships in the first few months. Allie ended her Spring Hill role as the season ended and had to move back up to Boston full time in November. Travis resided in Roxbury, Ct. Travis grew up in Roxbury, Ct. and lived in the woods. He grew up swimming at the Roxbury Falls, climbing rocky boulders and jumping off the notorious rope swing. Allie grew up in Sherman, Ct. being One with nature as well. She grew up in her babbling brook - building dams, Fairy Houses, climbing trees & belting Pocahontas music. Both found Peace having the woods as a creative outlet. As the months went by, Travis and Allie booked airbnbs in Ct. to stay connected. Allie would stay at her sister’s house for two weeks at a time and then move into an airbnb for a week. This lasted five months and the options exhausted. Thankfully, everything fell into place. Her Uncle David offered one of his company’s properties to rent! And the big move from Boston to Ct. began. Travis and Allie officially moved in together in April and so began the creation of building a Safe Haven, a Home together. They are entirely grateful to Uncle David! It is wild how twelve months of this journey proves to be something special enough to not turn away from. The choice they feel in their bones to wed is very personal, private and something they feel strongly about with God. The dynamic of Travallie is the art of a smooth sailing rollercoaster. There’s no boredom here! Travis and Allie’s bond sits on a foundation of accountability, embedded Trust, their love for nature, creativity and writing. Their spiritual path together with God brings them to church every Sunday, leaving refreshed for the start of their week. They love photography, long drives, singing along to music, locating all Gluten Free cuisines & stargazing. Allie is obsessed with ensuring her fridge, freezer and pantry are overstocked with goods. Travis thinks the world is going to end so he takes pleasure in building a back-stock of canned goods and freezer food. I think it is safe to say, they have found their match in one another. 😂 To the outside world, they may not make much sense. It may appear they are rushing into something with fears of disappointment. However, they know they are strong. They wouldn’t choose to make a life changing decision like this unless it was something very important to them. They are entirely grateful for the Family they have and for the family Allie has created in her friendships. Keeping the wedding small and intimate is something sacred to them. Inviting the ones who truly matter to their hearts & souls are important. Wise words from a dear friend, “Why prolong joy?” Please join the two in witnessing this sacred holy matrimony.
