I tell most people that Travis and I met through a mutual friend which is only part of the story. What I originally thought was going night fishing turned into going to a party at Shasta Lake which I was not happy to find out. Travis ended up getting pretty hammered and picked me to his girlfriend/wife. On our way home from the lake he sat in the back of the jeep with me. He kept falling asleep on my shoulder then would wake up. He sang Head Over Boots to me in his awful singing and then used the cheesiest pick-up line I have ever heard. He said " your hand looks lonely would it like to meet mine" then grabbed my hand. He texted me the next day apologizing for his drunk self and now everything is history.
After making fun of Travis about proposing, he proposed on our way home from a visit in California. He told me he wanted to stop for a stick for the dog. He pulled into the Hat Creek Rim overlook and said "we haven't been here before". We got out and let the dogs run around. I went to look around then walked over to where Trav was. We were just looking out at the valley and he said "this is a pretty nice view" and he stepped behind me. I turned around to him with the ring box in his hand and immediately started crying. He said "Will you marry me Boo Boo" which is just in Travis fashion. It was perfect.
As most of you know, Travis and I are not very serious people. With the way we interact with each other you would think we have already been married for 20 years. Expect a fun, goofy, not very serious wedding with a lot of drinking. Travis and I have been together through so much. We have celebrated so many milestones, experienced losses, grown together, and created our little family of us and the 4 fur babies. We are excited to have you all a part of our big day!
