The attire for a hiking ceremony is comfortable and casual. Something that will protect you against the sun but keep you warm if it's cool. We recommend layering your clothing. Wear whatever clothing you would be comfortable hiking in, and sturdy boots/shoes.
The hike is about an hour to an hour and a half at a slow pace, one-way. About 2 miles on an unpaved path. The path goes from dirt to un pathed granite to climbing up rocky areas. There are gorgeous views, trees, and waterfalls at the Enchanted Pools that are beautiful.
There is one bathroom near Wrights Lake. However, there are NO bathrooms along the hiking trail after the ceremony.
The All Trails App, describes this hike as moderately challenging. If you would like to check out the route on the All Trails App it is called: Wrights Lake to Enchanted Pools. After hiking this trail with our parents they described it as the following: "It's a moderate incline hike. It is rocky in some areas and can be challenging for some people. It can be slippery with the wrong shoes. However, some areas are easy to walk through with forest-like environments.
Please pack your own snacks, lunch, and plenty of water for the day.
We plan to hang out for a little while by Wrights Lake and eat the packed lunches we have all packed ourselves. Once we are done eating those who would like to join, we will be hiking up to the enchanted pools and exploring more.
