What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to be at the wedding tent at 3:00 if you would like to take the shuttle over to the ceremony site. If you prefer to walk, it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the shale beach.

Is there a dress code?

Cocktail, please. (But ladies, keep in mind that the ceremony is on a shale rock beach!)

Are kids invited?

We love your kids, but we want this to be your night off! Let’s keep the ceremony and reception adult-only.

Is there transportation to and from town to the wedding?

Answer

We wish we could provide this, but a transportation service will not be offered. If you are staying in downtown Mammoth Lakes rather than at Convict Lake, your options are to rent a car, carpool with other guests, or Uber.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Everyone is welcome to join us on a group hike the day after the wedding. We will be doing the Little Lakes Valley hike, which is one of our absolute favorites in the area! This scenic trek takes you through a chain of glacial lakes with snow-capped mountains in the backdrop 😍🏔 There's also very little elevation gain, making it doable for everyone! Bring your swimsuit, lunch, some beer, and let's make a day of it!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Summer in the Eastern Sierras consists of hot days and cool evenings. We recommend bringing layers for your trip and a light jacket/sweater to the reception. Also keep in mind that we will be at high elevation, and the thinner atmosphere provides less protection from the sun. Be sure to pack sunscreen!!
