Tori- Mack and I met at the Christian Student Center (CSC) here in Florence Al. After some time Mack decided to ask for my number and we started texting back and forth (a lot). After texting for a few months Mack decided to ask me out on a date and I thought “ehh why not”. We met at Ricebox and when our food was brought out he stopped and asked if I would like for him to pray for our food. I was not necessarily shocked but so happy he was so willing to do so! During that prayer (one of the most heartfelt and meaningful prayers I have ever heard might I add) I knew there was something different about this guy. As time went on I fell more and more in love with this godly man and knew he was the one I had prayed for for so many years before I even knew he existed. Fast forward a couple of years and tons of memories along the way my best friend asked me to marry him on June 8th (national best friends day!) And come April 17, 2021 I get to become Mrs. Hickerson! Mack- The CSC welcome week 2017. I was with two of my buddies at a church function and we were going to go to the CSC bonfire and s’mores Sam and Matt had both been wanting to find somebody to start dating so we all went to hang out at the bonfire. I kinda shanghaied Tori and one of her friends by asking them for their Snapchats cause my snap was “lit” at the time (haha!). I never snapped Tori until her birthday when I messaged her ‘happy birthday’. Eventually I wound up asking her to lunch at Rice Box, had a blast and she gave me a second date. Luckily I got a second one to Skyzone/Arbys. I then shanghaied her again into meeting my parents completely unplanned and they loved her right off. Our third date was the First Friday’s in downtown Florence in November after she had a 50s themed homecoming event, and we all met up downtown. Three years and six months come April 17th that I will have been with someone I could not be happier, luckier or more blessed to be with in this life than with MsTori-Brooke.
