How We Met (Jack's Version)

12.15.21

A classic millennial love story.. shout out Bumble. I was lucky enough to match with Tori on Bumble in early December 2021. From the time we matched, I could tell Tori was funny, clever, and someone who I wanted to meet in person. I decided to ask Tori on a date to get sushi (my favorite food), and from the moment we met at Thai & Sushi in Brookhaven, the chemistry was there. Our date lasted until the wait staff had to kick us out of the restaurant, and I went home knowing that I had just met someone truly special. The next few dates, I got creative to get to experience being with Tori in a variety of settings. For date two, we went on a dinner date followed by a movie. Date three, we went to see a comedy show for a comedian who has since gone viral and was given his own Netflix show. Date four, we saw the Atlanta Hawks take down the Phoenix Suns (and end their 11-game winning streak at the time). Date five, we went on a double-date with one of my high school best friends. The months have flown by since these first few dates and I could not ask for a better partner for the adventures that we have had. We can't wait to celebrate the next big adventure with everyone who is so special to us.

The Proposal (Tori's Version)

07.20.23

Hilton Head has been my favorite place as long as I can remember. Every year, Casa de Konrad treks to HHI for family vacation, and it's been the most wonderful place our family spends time all together since '96. The Konrad vacation is methodically organized and planned months in advance. Jack coordinated with my parents to set the perfect stage for a proposal I couldn't have made more 'me' if I tried. I *thought* Jack and I were leaving for dinner in Harbor Town a little earlier than the rest of the family so he could get a new HHI shirt -- all week Jack made it a point to look at all the shirts wherever we were and say he needed an HHI golf shirt. This was not surprising, because even though it means less closet space for me, I am trying to transition Jack's wardrobe away from Marist and Notre Dame Tshirts. Jack also kept his airpods in his pocket all week so I wouldn't notice a ring box. Clever. I thought the family might get a Christmas Card pic (iykyk) in front of the Lighthouse so I wore a hot pink dress. We started walking over by the lighthouse...and the rest is a blur other than tossing my purse nearly off the pier (check the gallery page for this classic pic). I remember Jack down on one knee and me being SO excited to spend the rest of my life with the man I love. Also that I am the luckiest girl on the planet to have found someone who planned a proposal so perfect and meaningful to me. After the proposal, he had another surprise. Both of our families were across the island to throw us an engagement dinner party -- All twelve of us!! It was perfect. He planned every detail from the flowers to the photos -- it was so special to celebrate with our families!

Our Wedding Day

We are so excited to get married in the city where we fell in love and thrilled to dance the night away on the Rooftop Terrace at Ponce City Market. We live beside PCM and have had countless dates exploring the shops. Our goal is to try all the restaurants before our wedding day! See y'all there!

For all the days along the way
