For those of you traveling in from out of town, you have several airport options. Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) Located approximately 45 minutes from Sarasota. Tampa International Airport (TPA) Located approximately 60 minutes from Sarasota. Renting a car will be your best option to get around town. There are many car rental companies located at each of the local airports. Because this is no longer a small island, Uber and Lyft are readily available to and from the airport as well.
