Plan an adventure!
Do a little research and plan an adventure! Ridgway is a fairly remote town that is surrounded by some amazing places to visit. Many national and state parks can be found within a few hour drive of Ridgway. Some national parks require a timed entry pass and will require a little planning ahead. For those that want to explore more of the desert we recommend checking out Moab, Utah and the surrounding area. Keep in mind Moab can get crowded and very hot in the summer. Our town of Grand Junction is another great option for those wanting more desert. For those that want more mountain landscape to enjoy we highly recommend researching the surrounding towns around Ridgway. Durango is a good hub for a Four Corners area trip.

Telluride Gondola Station
Free Gondola from the town of Telluride up to the Telluride Mountain Village ski resort. Mountain village has multiple shops and restaurants. The Gondola ride is very pretty and is free.
Box Cañon Falls Park
Waterfall in a narrow box canyon with a short walk from the parking lot.
Perimeter Trail
Hiking trail that goes around the perimeter of the town of Ouray with multiple waterfalls on the trail and mountain views all around. Multiple entry and exit points of the trail.
San Juan Scenic Jeep Tours
Multiple options for jeep tours in Ouray as the area is full of very scenic trails. Jeep rentals available for those that want to drive themselves and also guided tours for those that want to be a passenger.
