Question

***COVID PRECAUTIONS UPDATE***

Answer

COVID PRECAUTIONS UPDATE: Due to the fact that the state is shutting down its free testing sites, we have decided to change our protocols to accept RAPID Covid tests as well as PCR tests! We want to ensure that as many people as possible are able to attend, and we recognize that the shutting down of these state-run testing facilities could make it too complicated for many guests to do so. So we have decided to adapt to the changing circumstances and include rapid tests (including at-home rapid tests) as part of our Covid precautions!

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Garden Cocktail - think light fabrics and spring colors. No shorts please!

Question

Will there be any COVID Precautions?

Answer

Out of respect for our exhausted medical facilities, those lost in the pandemic, and the medical personnel and people with impaired immune systems who may be in attendance at our wedding, we kindly ask that all guests (adults & children) be able to provide either: 1) Proof of completed COVID19 vaccine series (2+ doses) -or- 2) Negative Covid test result (PCR or Rapid) within the 72 hours prior to the wedding date (May 21, 2022), which means being tested between May 18-20th. We are planning to host all festivities outside in the open air. Therefore, we leave masking to the discretion of our guests. We are asking all guests to provide proof of either one of the documents listed above at the event. Photographs of vaccine cards are acceptable. If you are bringing proof of a negative test, please ensure the test date is included in the documentation you provide. To take care of this ahead of time and to avoid any holdup in getting the party started, you may email a picture of your relevant document(s) for all attendees to tml.ealp@gmail.com with the subject line "Ready!" up until 7pm on 5/20/2022. After that time, please be prepared with adequate physical/photographic/similar proof to present at the venue.

Question

How do I get COVID tested in Tallahassee? Is it expensive?

Answer

Free to low cost testing is still widely available. As with many things, the cost may be unfortunately dependent on insurance status. If you are concerned, please check with your insurance that the cost of the test will be covered. If you are uninsured, there are programs to cover the cost of testing for uninsured persons as well as many sites that provide free testing. Please see the information below and copy/paste the links into your browser for details, updates, and testing locations. Common testing locations include major pharmacies such as CVS and Walgreens. Per Gov. DeSantis (01/06/22): "COVID-19 tests will continue to be available to all Floridians that need one." Per CVS: "If you do not have insurance, we will ask you for your Social Security number (card not needed), driver's license or state ID to submit the cost of your test to the federal program for the uninsured. If you do not have insurance and are using the federal program for the uninsured to cover your COVID-19 test, the in-clinic visit will be covered at no additional cost to you." Per Walgreens: "No-cost COVID-19 testing is available to patients 3+. Patients will not receive a bill from Walgreens or any lab partner. If you receive a Diagnostic Test and have insurance, you will be asked to show your insurance card at the appointment and the lab may bill your insurer. State and federal programs may also provide no-cost testing in your area." Question

How Do We Get to the Venue?

Answer

Please see the "Travel" page of this website for recommendations on air travel, accomodations, and information on how to get to the venue! Please note: we strongly recommend coordinating rides and car rentals with friends and family to the wedding venue. Take note that a rideshare or taxi service may not be able to take you up the two miles of dirt road to reach the main house at Ayavalla!

Question

Are there hotel rooms blocked off?

Answer

Yes! Please see the "Travel" page of this website for recommendations on air travel, accomodations, and information on how to get to the venue!

Question

Is Ayavalla actually a real farm?

Answer

Yes! As such please be careful! There are lots of animals and machinery including cows, horses, chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, and wild hogs. While they may be very cute, they are not necessarily safe to approach!

Question

Who took those cute engagement shoot photos on your website?

Answer

Tom's high school friend Leandra started her own photography business, Leandra Creative Co, that specializes in soulful elopement, intimate weddings, and couples photography!
