We met while attending Inter-Lakes High School in Meredith, NH. Mutual friends brought us together after one of Tom's football games. Tom told corny jokes, Elise laughed at them. Football games, basketball games, graduations, goodbyes, hellos, deployments, midnight shifts, one dog, one house, and fourteen years later, we are excited to share our love with all of you on 10/14/23.

We traveled to Arkansas to visit Elise's family for her 29th birthday. The engagement was to take place at an outdoor art museum, Crystal Bridges in Bentonville, AR. The night before her birthday, Tom and Steve went to scope out the museum to find a good spot for the proposal. To them, they were on a mission to find the right spot. Everyone else at the museum was wondering why two grown men who do not look like art fanatics were walking around the exhibits by themselves. We found an exhibit of a beautiful tree that would light up with different colors when you spoke into the microphone as the perfect spot. The night of Elise's birthday, we went to Crystal Bridges. Tom wore flip flops and basketball shorts, and Elise did not suspect anything. We both walked out to the tree exhibit. Tom proposed and Elise yelled, "Holy shit!" and the tree lit up.
