We first met in 2018 on a trip to Sutherland. I was busy playing pool whilst my friends were having a karaoke session with Tino, their pianist. I didn’t know him but had heard of a Tino who always responded in their Physics group chat offering help. Anyway, I joined their karaoke session, but they’d already played pretty much every popular song you can think of, so I asked him to play this other song using a music sheet and he said he’s not very good at reading those so uninterested me left them and went back to play pool. Those who know me know I love things. So, 2019 when the Science Students’ Council (SSC) first round of elections didn’t go so well and only four people applied one of which was Tino, they reopened them, and I applied. Tino and the other three already being elected made us do presentations with them as the judges. I was there with my friend, and we were sitting at the back and in front was this guy wearing a grey hoodie. His back looked so good and don’t ask me how, I also don’t know. So, I asked my friend who the guy is, and she told me it’s Tino. At the time it didn’t click that it’s that Tino, I was just thinking that I haven’t even seen this guy’s face and I already like him. My turn came, I went up and nailed that presentation and finally put a face to that back. 😂 He asked me a question or two and in Nsovo style I impressed and a week later became a council member. We chatted work a bit on WhatsApp and when the conversation started getting casual guess what mans did, he mized me. Imagine. So, me and my friends stalked him on insta and saw that oh, he’s cuffed, so I was like oh well. And that was it. Following year February, I'm on insta and I see a picture of him wearing our council cap on his res page, so I hit him up on WhatsApp and jokingly asked him if he is advertising our merch there. I don’t even remember what he said, but he kept on chatting, and so did I till we bid each other goodnight. Following day, he hits me up with good morning and I’m like okay we’re doing this and that’s how we became friends. And yes, friends because mans friendzoned me for a whole year and I was like okay. 🙄 In that year, we didn’t just become friends, we became best friends, inseparable and saw each other through the pandemic together. We’d be up till 4am talking nonsense. We laughed, we lived and created memories. I bought him a cap and a canvas for his twentieth birthday and he was so happy saying no girl (besides mom of course) had ever bought him anything. He got me a digital camera for my birthday and created this website (https://nsovoturnstwenty.tinomuzambi.com) and my friends were like just date already. 😂 18 April 2021 mans finally realized that all he needs is this Tsonga sauce, and that’s how our story officially began. Tino is kind, he is gentle and thoughtful, he is loving and fiercely loyal. Tino is handsome, he is beautiful and I think he has amazing legs. He is very funny, and he tells my sisters stories. He respects my friends and honours me. And God, I pray that 16 December 2023 I stand beside him and say, I do.

The very first time we met, we didn't really meet. It was September of 2018, first year of uni coming to a close. We didn't know each other back then (maybe she knew about me) but we both went on a trip to Sutherland. At the time I just saw her as this loud, crazy outgoing girl but I was otherwise preoccupied at the time. A few years went by and our paths crossed when I took up office in the Science Students' Council (SSC) at UCT. The council needed ten members but only four people had took up office me being one of them. So we advertised the vacant positions and set a date for "interviews". So one thing you must know about Nsovo is that she loves things. So Nsovo, loving things came to the interviews and pitched to become the Events Coordinator and damn. We were sold. So that was the start of us actually interacting. One of the things we did in the SSC was produce caps. So one fateful day, I wore my SSC cap to a games night my then res was having. The res posted a picture on their Insta where you can see me but from behind. Nsovo saw this post and maybe now is a good time to mention that she had had a young crush on me for a while at this time. So I'm sure in her head she was like this is my chance to slide into his DMs and slide she did. The middle part of the story went as you would expect and things were kosher until they weren't due to my indecisiveness. I almost lost her but she loved me enough to give me a second chance and on the morning of the UCT fire, we rekindled ours. From there on we've had adventure after adventure, fight after fight, kiss after kiss, moment after moment. I cherish them all and I can't wait to a lifetime more of them. I truly thank God for bringing her into my life and I pray our love never fades and that we'll always choose each other. As a side note, take anything Nsovo says in her version of events with 500 grams of salt because she read my story and wrote hers after mine.
