What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The official dress code is estate formal / beach formal. TheKnot defines this as: "An elegant beach wedding—so dress to impress. Anything you'd wear to a nice restaurant on a summer night is appropriate. He should wear: A summer suit with a linen or dress shirt (no ties required), linen or dress pant and sandals/dress shoes. She should wear: A formal summer sundress at floor or knee length with flat or heeled sandals. Dress pants and a top & skirt combo work too. -Please no rubber flip flops. -The venue is on a ranch overlooking the ocean and you'll be walking on a lawn all day so we do not recommend cute spiked 👠, but block heels can work!

Can you tell us more about the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! Kualoa Ranch is a private nature reserve and working cattle ranch spanning 4,000 lush acres on the northeastern coast of O'ahu. Many movies are filmed at this ranch including: Jurassic Park, Jumanji, Lost, 50 First Dates, etc.

Sunscreen and Bug Spray?

Answer

We expect it to be relatively warm in Hawaii! Average temperature for Kualua Ranch in April is 68F (low) - 79F (high). The ceremony won't be covered, but the reception will be mostly under a tent. Applying sunscreen before the event is recommended. As for mosquitos, it all depends how wet it is around this day. If you are prone to bug bites, we recommend utilizing spray before or during the event.

What type of sunscreen should we bring?

Answer

Please take care of our ocean and reefs and only use Reef friendly sunscreen. Your sunscreen will note "Reef-Safe" on the label.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Average temperature in Hawaii in April is: HOT! Around 30C / 86F. Kualua Ranch is on the windward side oh Oahu. Temperatures there are a bit cooler! Average temperature at Kualua Ranch is: 68 -79F during this time. Do expect mini showers here and there!

What are your dates on the island?

Answer

We are arriving Thursday, April 7th and staying until April 16th. We will stay in Waikiki at the Moana Surfrider hotel from April 7th through April 13th, after we plan on heading up to the Northshore!

Do we need a car?

Answer

It depends! Personally, we don't think you need a car, but if you want to explore around the island, a car can be good for that. We will be providing transportation on the wedding day. If you are joining us for the beach gathering at Lanaki, we'll look to carpool or uber!

Can I rent a car for 1 day in Waikiki?

Answer

Yes! We found that a few hotels in Waikiki offer car rentals so you don't have to decide to rent a car at the airport!

Covid-19 Requirements

Answer

In order to fly into the island, you will need to follow Covid-19 testing + vaccination requirements. Please review this site https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel/getting-to-hawaii/ to stay updated on Hawaii's Travel Requirements before entering the islands. It is important that you plan your covid testing ahead of time. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions, we're happy to help! Covid-19 Requirements for large gatherings

Answer
