Maid of Honor
My best friend since high school. She is my sister even if we aren't the same blood. We grew up at each other's houses enough that we are basically sisters at this point. We have both grown up so much since we met and she has helped shape me into the person I am today. She is my rock, my sounding board, my role model, my person. She has taught me to stand up for myself and have courage and it okay to put yourself out there even if it doesn't work out. She likes to say I taught her the love of all things pink and glittery even if it does end up in her house for years... Caity chose Nala because she's fierce, loyal, and very caring towards her people. Cross them and you will have to deal with her.
John
Best Men
I met John my freshman year of college playing ultimate frisbee. We started out by eating team dinners with the ultimate club and hanging out during our visual perceptions class. As our friendship grew, we decided to move in with two of our other good friends. From video games, to magic, to scuba diving, we were always doing something together. John has always been a great friend that I know I can count on. He has taught me so much about how awesome life is and I can always count on him to make my day better. I am so lucky to have such an amazing friend to support me and I could not imagine my wedding day without John in my party. John chose Kenai from Brother Bear as his favorite character because he loves the movie and loves Kenai for his redemption arc. Kenai’s love of other people and ability to create connections is something John and the character definitely have in common.
Sara

Future sister in law! I have loved the friendship that has blossomed since meeting Sara and count her as one of my closest friends and can't wait to be officially family. Sara chose Mrs. Potts because her transformation into a teapot doesn't diminish her love and compassion. As a devoted mother to Chip, she always puts his needs first and ensures his safety. She exemplifies the enduring power of love, even in the face of adversity, and her unwavering hope for the Beast's transformation is truly inspiring.
Rob
Best Men
Rob is my oldest brother. I have known him as long as I have been alive. He and I have done many things together. Playing soccer, cooking, going to musicals, I have learned a great deal from him. He has always been a great supporter of myself and Tina when she came into the family. He was there for our first big date to a restaurant we both loved in Des Moines. Rob selected the character Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez from The Sandlot. To quote the character, “Heroes get remembered, but legends never die. Follow your heart kid and you’ll never go wrong.” Benny was remembered for all the things he did for the gang. Benny always looked out for Smalls just like Rob has always looked out for me, so it is very fitting he will be up there with me.
Gracie
Bridesmaid
Gracie came into my life when I met Josh. We became the two girls in the friend group and it was very much needed! I am so glad I met Gracie and have grown in our friendship. From our double date outings to our double dates in it is always a great time. She has helped me navigate my way through the group of boys but also someone I can talk to about anything and I couldn't be more thankful that. Gracie chose Hades because he is very sassy and she loves channelling his energy and being her sassy amazing self!
Craig
Best Men
Craig is one of the best friends and (fortunately for myself and Tina) now neighbors any human could ask for. He is loyal beyond belief and is someone who I can always count on for rock solid advice. The first time I talked to Tina I called him and said “I am a problem to myself” and he told me I was overreacting. After getting coffee with him in Cedar Falls after our first date, I said I really liked her and he told me I needed to go for it then. I have so many things to thank him for and I am lucky to have him standing with me and Tina on our special day and for all of his wonderful advice that helped me get where I am. Craig selected Shark Woody as his character. A funny moment from the first story, Craig and I have spent countless moments laughing over tabletop games, video games, and life in general. We have made the best of the moments together, just like Shark Woody shines is his moment of Toy Story.
Meredith

What Meredith and I always say is where were thrown together in the deep end of teaching and became the best of friends from it. She has seen me at my lowest of lows but also been there to cheer me on for my highest of high. I would not be the teacher I am today if it wasn't for Meredith and her support she has given me over the past few years. No words are enough to show her how much she has changed my life. Meredith chose Ariel because she also has a love for Disney and has always felt a connection with her from her swimmer days when she was younger and would pretend (and still does) that she is a mermaid and princess!
Mason
Best Men
Mason joined the ammo ultimate team with me, John, and Kylo. He and I became very close when he moved into Panther Village. We would always hang out and watch anime together and be increasingly sarcastic and cynical. I always look forward to the weekends he comes to hang out in Ames, even though Tina and him have started to gang up on me a little bit in the humor department. I always know that he truthfully has my back and that I have his. He chose Captain Jack Sparrow, the daring swashbuckler. He is quick with jokes but is always there for the crew when they need him, just like a great friend I know.
Jenna
Bridesmaid
Jenna was my first friend when I started teaching dance at a new studio and welcomed me with open arms and showed me the ropes. Not only did we learn we both loved dance but we had a lot of the same passions. Since then our friendship has just kept growing over the years! Jenna has helped me grow into the person I am today and I couldn't thank her enough for everything she has done! Jenna chose Belle because some of her biggest passions is reading and singing!
Kylo
Best Men
Michael, better known to many as Kylo, has always been the friend who I can count on to make me laugh. He helps me not take life so seriously all the time and constantly helps keep our gang communicating. Whether it is through his wonderful memes, constant humor, and regular scheduled “games tonight?” messages, I am incredibly lucky to have had him be my teammate in ultimate, roommate in college, and friend for life. He chose Stitch as his favorite character because Stitch captures the funny and chaotic energy that definitely matches how Kylo is as a person. He provides the hijinx our gang needs to stay on our toes and have a great time.
