Edwin and I have come along way since our time at Claflin University. We literally witnessed eachother mature and develop from our young college years, to the working professionals we are now. I honestly feel like I have known Edwin my entire life, but that's just how close we have become. We have always pushed one another to be better, have been there for the highs and the lows, and have grown together in our faith in God. Our time at Claflin truly cemented our friendship. Whether it was the multiple organizations we participated in/ran, the times struggling to study in the library, all the parties and homecomings, we learned how to work hard, but to play even harder. It's safe to say Edwin is my best friend from Claflin, and even after graduation, we have grown even closer!

Since the 3rd grade we have been friends, and I can easily say you are one of the closest friends I have from childhood. Growing up as an only child, I never really thought I needed any siblings because you (and Jonathan) were there. We have so many memories together that it would take a book for me to properly give them their due. We've met eachothers families, been on vacations, attended some of the same summer camps, and our times at the Boys and Girls Club will go down in history. I couldn't have asked for a better friend growing up, and even though we did not go to the same high school, and both went out of state for college (something we both always said we wanted to do), we have remained true to this day.

Brandon and I went to the same middle and high school together, and always had mutual friends in our respective circles, but never quite connected earlier on. That all changed during 10th grade basketball intramurals, when we were on the same 5 man squad. If only his knees held up throughout school, he could have been our star point guard! But I digress. We never had the same classes, but grew a bond from our love of pick up basketball, making off campus lunch runs, playing Super Smash Bros, and realizing we had a lot more common than we ever knew. From Ocean City, to Miami, to Chicago, we have had plenty of adventures, but the basement of his house back in MD will always be the "meet up" spot.

Kenny and I have been joking and laughing together since middle school! I'm not sure what was wrong with us in our 7th grade science class where we met, but we have been joking ever since then. I'm not sure who I have more inside jokes with in my life. Apart from the laughs, Kenny is a true and loyal friend, who has always had my back from middle, to high school, and even now. I am proud to see where we are now, and that we still have remained close even with his Hollywood move post college.

My University of Illinois (U of I), fellow HBCU brother in arms! We grew a bond from our time traversing (unbeknownst to us), our future campus during the Fall of 2014, as we both were selected to spend a weekend there from our respective HBCUs (NCAT & Claflin), and boy did we leave a mark! So much so, we decided to both enroll at U of I, and became roommates. From roommates, to the Black Graduate "sociallites," then friends, and now brothers, we have come a long way, as we have both taken our respectives talents to Chicago. Fun fact: Shawn is also one of the best cooks and hype men around!

Aka DJ "Better Call Bob," Rob and I met by fate at a friend of Amanda's apartment at U of I, where I was impressed by his spinning skills. Who knew from that interaction, Rob and I would become as close as we are today. Hailing from the West Side of Chicago, and the US Airforce, we have spent many times learning from eachothers diverse experiences, and is one of the few friends I can easily have deep conversations with about anything and everything. There has never been a dull moment when we get together!
Bryant Rashford

I have known Bryant since my elementary school days when we used to play on two different soccer teams for several years. We were always two of the few/only Black soccer players on whatever teams we played on, so we joke that we helped integrate soccer back in the day. From teammates to friends, we have remained in touch and close since we were out there dominating on the turf. I never have to ask Bryant, "if?" but "when?!"
