Tim and I grew up together and went to the same elementary school. Our houses were approximately 3 miles from each other. On November 21, 1982, when we were in the 7th grade, Tim asked me to be his girlfriend. And so he became my first real boyfriend. That summer he worked for my dad putting in hay. We road bikes and went to the Fish Rocks (local swimming hole in Wyalusing Creek). July 30, 1983 we both shared our first kiss at the Fish Rocks. We parted ways some time that fall, never knowing our first would come back around to be our last. In August of 2018, I moved home to Wyalusing PA. On and off over the years, Tim and I had run into each other. On November 24, 2018, we went on our second time around, first date. Our date was at Oliver’s in Wysox, PA. Let’s just say it was love at first site. You never know what you were missing until you find it. We are so excited for you to be a part of our story!
Every year, before the first day of school, we go out to dinner to celebrate the end of summer. Tim said we needed to drop something off at his brother, Mike’s, so we would need to go through Stevensville on the way to Oliver’s in Wysox. When we got to Stevensville, Tim said we were running early and then asked when was the last time I went to the Fish Rocks? I said, I didn’t remember when, and he said let’s stop . There had been a lot of rain and the creek was up high. I wanted to go down on the rocks by the water and Tim kept saying no that I would slip and fall in. Little did I know he had the ring in his pocket and was worried about losing it trying to save me if I fell in. Next thing I know, he is down on one knee. I started to cry and was fumbling trying to get my sunglasses off. Finally some little voice in the back of my head said “Speak out loud! Say yes!” And I did! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you soon!
